Rammstein
Rammstein (, "ramming stone") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch. After winning a local contest, Rammstein was able to record demos and send them to different record labels, eventually signing with Motor Music. "Dicke Titten" (German for "Big Tits") is a song by German rock band Rammstein. It was released on 27 May 2022 as the third single from the album '' Zeit'', with its music video premiering the same day. A 7-inch vinyl record alongside a CD single were released on 8 July 2022. Background At the beginning of May, a German website ''Hallo 24'' published an article with reference to the Mexican fan page ''Rammexicanos'', speculating that "Dicke Titten" would be the fourth song from the album ''Zeit'' to receive a video. A photo was included in the article as proof, showing the six musicians in traditional Alpine costumes and six women in dirndls. The band itself was still keeping a low profile at this point and only announced on 23 May 2022, two days in advance, on their social media channels that the video would premiere on 25 May 2022 at 18:00 CET. Karen Leeder (born 1962) is a British writer, translator and scholar of German culture. She is professor of Modern German Literature in the University of Oxford. In 2021 she was elected as Schwarz-Taylor Professor of the German Language and Literature, a position she took up at The Queen's College, Oxford in 2022. Early life and education Born in Derbyshire, she lived in Rugby and attended Rugby High School and Rugby School. She studied German at Magdalen College, Oxford and the University of Hamburg. Christoph Schneider
Christoph Schneider (born 11 May 1966) is a German musician, best known as the drummer of the Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. Early life Christoph Schneider was born in Pankow, East Berlin, East Germany. He has one sister, who is two years younger than him. Schneider left the extended secondary school at age 16 and went on to work as a telecommunications assistant. In 1984, he served his national service with the East German Army; he is the only member of Rammstein to have served in the military. Career Schneider's parents wanted him to learn an instrument, so they sent him to a special music school connected to a Pioneers' orchestra, where he was offered the choice between trumpet, clarinet, and trombone, out of which he chose the trumpet first because it was the easiest to play. ''Zeit'' ( en, link=no, Time) is the eighth studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, released on 29 April 2022 through Universal Music. Produced by the band with Olsen Involtini, the album was unplanned and recorded as a result of the band's tour being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Oliver Riedel
Oliver "Ollie" Riedel (born 11 April 1971) is a German musician, best known as the bassist for Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. Early life Riedel was born in Schwerin on 11 April 1971. Growing up, he had relatively good relationships with both of his parents. He attributes this to the small gap between their ages. As a child, he was not a good student, but he made his way through school with the assistance of his mother. Riedel was quite shy, especially during his teenage years; while his friends partied, he would often be found just "hanging around". Career In 1990, at the age of 19, Riedel began playing in a Folk music, folk/Punk rock, punk band called the Inchtabokatables.
