Angoulême Charente Football Club, commonly known as Angoulême, is a French football club from the city of Angoulême, currently playing in Championnat National 2. Founded in 1920 as SC Angoulême, the club is well known as AS Angoulême, a name the club bore from 1948 to 1992. In 2005, they rebranded as Angoulême Charente FC. History The club was founded in 1920. In 1969, Angoulême was promoted to the French Division 1. In their first season in the elite, the club finished in a surprising fourth place in the 1969–70 season. Christian Letard
Christian Letard (born 23 November 1947) is a French retired football manager who most recently managed Congo. Besides Congo, he has managed France and Vietnam. Career In 1981, Letard was appointed manager of French third division side Roche-sur-Yon, helping them earn promotion to the French second division. In 1989, he was appointed manager of Le Mans in the French second division, where he suffered relegation to the French third division. Patrice Neveu (born 29 March 1954) is a French football coach and former player who manages the national team of Gabon. Career Playing career Neveu enjoyed a short playing career in France with Angoulême CFC and ES La Rochelle. Coaching career After retiring as a player, Neveu has managed both club and national sides. He began his career in France with club sides Vendée Fontenay Foot and Angoulême CFC, before becoming manager of the Niger national side in 1999. He then returned to club football with Medenine in 1999. Éric Guérit (born 21 July 1964) is a French former professional football player and manager. A defensive midfielder by trade, he made more than 300 senior appearances for seven different clubs during a 14-year playing career spent mostly in the top division of French football. Andrzej Szarmach
Andrzej Szarmach (; born 3 October 1950) is a former Polish football player. He played in the Polish national team during its "golden age" in the 1970s. With Grzegorz Lato at his right, Robert Gadocha at his left, and Kazimierz Deyna in support, Szarmach profited from the absence of Włodzimierz Lubański to lead the Polish attack, the best at 1974 World Cup, with sixteen goals. While Lato finished first in the Cup in goals with seven, Szarmach, with five goals, also marked the competition with his imprint. Ángel Hugo Bargas (born 29 October 1946) is an Argentine former football defender. He represented Argentina at the 1974 FIFA World Cup. Playing career Bargas, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, started his career at Racing Club in 1965 but he moved to Chacarita Juniors in 1966. He was part of the team that won Chacarita's only Primera División title in 1969. In 1970 Bargas was awarded the Olimpia de Plata, which is given to the player of the year in Argentine football. Bargas moved to France in 1972 to play for FC Nantes, he stayed in France for the rest of his career, he moved on to FC Metz in 1979, CS Louhans-Cuiseaux in 1981 and FC Le Puy in 1984.
