Anglican–Roman Catholic International Commission
The Anglican–Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC) is an organization created in 1969 which seeks to make ecumenical progress between the Anglican–Catholic dialogue. The sponsors are the Anglican Consultative Council and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (formerly the Secretariat for Promoting Christian Unity). ARCIC seeks to identify common ground between the two communions. Ecumenical relations have become strained, owing to the ordination of women within the Anglican Communion and, in more recent years, the Anglican communion has internally become increasingly more divided over issues concerning homosexuality. The Anglican Diocese of Perth is one of the 23 dioceses of the Anglican Church of Australia. The constitution of the Diocese of Perth was passed and adopted in 1872 at the first synod held in Western Australia. In 1914 in Australia, 1914, the Province of Western Australia was created and the diocesan bishop of Perth became ''ex officio'' metropolitan bishop of the new province and therefore also an archbishop. Donald Joseph Bolen (born 7 February 1961), also known as Don Bolen, is a Canadian Catholic prelate. He is the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Regina, since his appointment by Pope Francis on 11 July 2016; having previously served as Bishop of the Diocese of Saskatoon. Kevin John Patrick McDonald KC*HS (b. 18 August 1947, Stoke-on-Trent) is the Archbishop Emeritus of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark, England. Life Born in Stoke-on-Trent, from 1958 to 1965 McDonald attended the Christian Brothers' Grammar School there, St. Joseph's College, Stoke-on-Trent. He read Latin at Birmingham University from 1965 to 1968. Gregory Kenneth Cameron (born 6 June 1959) is a Welsh Anglican bishop. He is Bishop of the Diocese of St Asaph in Wales, having been elected on 5 January 2009 and confirmed as bishop on 16 March 2009. Life and career Cameron was born in south east Wales in 1959 and grew up in Llangybi, Monmouthshire. He was educated at Croesyceiliog School in Cwmbran and Lincoln College, Oxford, where he studied law. David Hamid (born 18 June 1955) is an Anglican bishop with British and Canadian citizenship. He has been the Suffragan Bishop in Europe since 2002. Early life Hamid was born on 18 June 1955 in Scotland, to Scottish and Burmese parents. He holds dual British and Canadian citizenship. Alexander Joseph Brunett (January 17, 1934 – January 31, 2020) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Seattle in Washington State from 1997 until his retirement in 2010. Brunett previously served as bishop of the Diocese of Helena in Montana from 1994 to 1997 and after his retirement he served as apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Oakland in California from 2012 to 2013.
