Anglican Diocese Of Bendigo
The Anglican Diocese of Bendigo is a diocese of the Anglican Church of Australia. It is situated in the Bendigo region of the state of Victoria, Australia. Its geographic remit extends from that part of Victoria that lies north of the Great Dividing Range and west of the Goulburn River to the border with the state of South Australia. The diocesan cathedral is St Paul's Cathedral, Bendigo. The diocese was separated from the Diocese of Melbourne in 1902, with Henry Archdall Langley installed as the first bishop. The current bishop, Matt Brain, was installed on 17 February 2018. History The diocese was separated from the Diocese of Melbourne in 1902, at the same time as the creation of the dioceses of Wangaratta and Gippsland. In 1977, the Diocese of St Arnaud, which had been separated from the Diocese of Ballarat in 1926, was disbanded and merged with Bendigo. Bendigo ( ) is a city in Victoria, Australia, located in the Bendigo Valley near the geographical centre of the state and approximately north-west of Melbourne, the state capital. John Roundhill
John Roundhill is an Australian bishop in the Anglican Church of Australia. He has served as an assistant bishop of the Diocese of Brisbane (Southern Region) since 2018. Roundhill was a physics teacher in Belize before his ordination as a priest in 1994. Since then he has worked in Lancaster, Scotland, Hong Kong and Australia. Ronald Richards
Ronald Edwin Richards (25 October 1908 - 18 November 1994) was an Australian Anglican bishop: the fifth Bishop of Bendigo from 1957 to 1974. Richards was born in Ballarat and educated at Ballarat High School. In 1929 he entered the University of Melbourne studying Arts, and was a resident student at Trinity College. He was ordained in 1933. After a curacy in Rokewood he was priest in charge at Lismore. During World War II he was a chaplain in the AIF. Charles Lawrence Riley CBE, VD (10 October 1888 -1 April 1971) was an Australian Anglican bishop: the fourth Bishop of Bendigo from 1938 to 1957; and Chaplain-General to the AMF from 1942 until 1957.
