Angelika Overath
Angelika Overath (born 17 July 1957 in Karlsruhe) is a German author and journalist. Overath studied German literature, History, Italian Studies, and Cultural Studies at the University of Tübingen and wrote a PhD-thesis in 1986 about the colour blue in modern literature. She regularly works as Writer in Residence for thGerman Sectionin thSchool of Modern Languages Newcastle University, and at Queen Mary's College, London. She also teaches creative writing for the SwisHyperwerkand has founded thSchreibschule Sentwhich offers seminars in creative writing both in German and Rumantsch. The Frankfurt Book Fair (German: Frankfurter Buchmesse, FBM) is the world's largest trade fair for books, based on the number of publishing companies represented. It is considered to be the most important book fair in the world for international deals and trading. The five-day annual event in mid-October is held at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The first three days are restricted exclusively to professional visitors; the general public attend the fair on the weekend. Several thousand exhibitors representing book publishing, multimedia and technology companies, as well as content providers from all over the world gather in order to negotiate international publishing rights and license fees. The Fortnightly Review
''The Fortnightly Review'' was one of the most prominent and influential magazines in nineteenth-century England. It was founded in 1865 by Anthony Trollope, Frederic Harrison, Edward Spencer Beesly, and six others with an investment of £9,000; the first edition appeared on 15 May 1865. George Henry Lewes, the partner of George Eliot, was its first editor, followed by John Morley. The print magazine ceased publication in 1954. An online "new series" started to appear in 2009. History ''The Fortnightly Review'' aimed to offer a platform for a range of ideas, in reaction to the highly partisan journalism of its day. Henrike Lähnemann
Henrike Lähnemann (born 1968) is a German medievalist and holds the Chair of Medieval German, University of Oxford. She is a Fellow of St Edmund Hall, Oxford. Career Lähnemann is the daughter of the theologian , and the granddaughter of the German medievalist (née Benary) and the archeologist Friedrich Karl Dörner; she grew up in Lüneburg and Nuremberg, Germany. She studied German literature, History of Art and Theology at the University of Bamberg, the University of Edinburgh, Free University of Berlin and University of Göttingen. She completed a PhD at the Universität Bamberg on late medieval didactic literature. Lähnemann worked at the University of Tübingen, where she gained her Venia legendi in German Philology with a study of the Book of Judith in German medieval literature. The Luchterhand Literaturverlag is a German publisher of contemporary literature based in Munich. It was founded in 1924, and was acquired by Random House in 2001. Luchterhand is considered one of the most prestigious publishers in Germany. Publications include literature from Günter Grass and Christa Wolf and many others. History In 1924, Hermann Karl Wilhelm Luchterhand founded Luchterhand publisher in Berlin, dedicated to taxation and law. He then published an information pamphlet on taxation, which added to the earlier publications of forms and manuals for the payroll office.
