The Angeles National Forest (ANF) of the United States Forest Service, U.S. Forest Service is located in the San Gabriel Mountains and Sierra Pelona Mountains, primarily within Los Angeles County, California, Los Angeles County in southern California. Angeles Forest Highway
The Angeles Forest Highway is a road over the San Gabriel Mountains in Los Angeles County, California. It connects the Los Angeles Basin with the Antelope Valley and western Mojave Desert. Maintained by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, the highway is designated as County Route N-3 (CR N-3) or Forest Highway 59 (FH 59); the route numbers are unsigned, but noted on many maps. Running between California State Route 2, State Route 2 and California State Route 14, State Route 14, the Angeles Forest Highway passes through the Angeles National Forest, and a western section of the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. It is used primarily for recreation, although a significant portion of its traffic comes from commuters living in the Antelope Valley. Mount Angeles
Mount Angeles is located just south of Port Angeles, Washington in the Olympic National Park. It is the highest peak in the Hurricane Ridge area. The summit, which offers panoramic views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and many of the peaks of the interior Olympic Mountains can be climbed from the Klahane Ridge trail. The southeast side of Mount Angeles drains into Morse Creek, thence into the Strait of Juan de Fuca a couple of miles east of Port Angeles. Angeles is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1977 by Dale Lytle. They were signed to Mystic Records, who released their debut album in 1984. As of 2020, Angeles has released thirteen albums. History Early history (1975–1983) The roots of Angeles can be traced to 1975 when Dale Lytle and Dave Raudman started the band "Avante-Gard", the band's name was changed to "English" in 1976, before finally settling with "Angeles" in mid-1977. The band was named after the Angeles National Forest. The initial line-up of Angeles was a five-piece: Dale Lytle on guitar, Dave Raudman on vocals, Terrell Hill on drums, Frank Galante on Bass, and Jen Nicia Alcivar on keyboard. ''Shepherd Moons'' is the third studio album by Irish singer, songwriter and musician Enya, released on 4 November 1991 by WEA. After the unexpected critical and commercial success of her previous album ''Watermark'' (1988), Enya embarked on a worldwide promotional tour to support it. Arnold George Dorsey (born 2 May 1936), known professionally as Engelbert Humperdinck, is an English pop singer who has been described as "one of the finest middle-of-the-road balladeers around". He achieved international prominence in 1967 with his recording of " Release Me". Starting as a performer under the name of Gerry Dorsey in the late 1950s, he later adopted the name of the German composer Engelbert Humperdinck as a stage name and found success after he partnered with manager Gordon Mills in 1965. His recordings of the ballads " Release Me" and "The Last Waltz" both topped the UK Singles Chart in 1967, selling more than a million copies each.
