Angela And Friends
''Angela and Friends'' is a British talk show which was produced by Crackit Productions for Sky1. The show aired at 12pm, Monday to Friday, and was presented by actress Angela Griffin, who was joined by three "friends" in each show to discuss the latest news, celebrity gossip as well as other topical issues. The show was the centrepiece of Sky1's first foray into daytime television and was originally commissioned for 90 episodes – 18 weeks – each of 90 minutes. Viewers were encouraged to contact Angela and her "friends". They could do this by text, email, Facebook or Twitter. Griffin read out these messages during the show. In March 2010, after the show finished for a two-week Easter break, it was announced that the series had been recommissioned for a second series, at the slightly later time of 2.30pm on Monday, 12 April. Angela Griffin
Angela Mellissa Griffin (born 19 July 1976) is a British actress and television presenter who has been active on British television since the early 1990s. She is best known for portraying the roles of Fiona Middleton in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' (1992–1998, 2019), Kim Campbell in the BBC One school-based drama series '' Waterloo Road'' (2006–2007, 2009–2010, 2022–present), and DS Lizzie Maddox in the final two series of ITV's detective drama series ''Lewis'' (2014–2015). Tara Newley
Tara Cynara Newley (born 12 October 1963) is a British writer, broadcaster, and producer. Early life Newley is the daughter of actress Joan Collins and actor/composer/singer Anthony Newley. She is also the sister of Alexander Newley. She lived in Paris for two years to study at The American College in Paris, where her poetry and journalism was first publicised. She transferred to Boston University to study English, French, and Russian literature and poetry with Helen Vendler at Harvard University, Harvard. Brix Smith (born Laura Elisse Salenger) is an American singer and guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist and a major songwriter for the English post-punk band The Fall during two stints in the band (1983-1989, and 1994-1996). Acknowledging her importance to the band, and noting she co-wrote several songs for the band's most widely acclaimed album ''This Nation's Saving Grace'' (1985), some critics break the Fall's career and evolution into the pre-Brix years, the Brix years, and the post-Brix years. James King is a British film critic who presents a weekly film review show The Movie Show on ITV2 (previously known as ITV at the Movies) and also appears regularly on ITV London Tonight on Friday evenings and on Sky News as the channel's movie critic. Sky1
Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. From 31 July 1989, it became Sky One and broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom and Ireland as British Sky Broadcasting's flagship channel, being the most watched television service in history.
