Angad Vir Singh Bajwa
Angad Vir Singh Bajwa (born 29 November 1995) is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the skeet discipline. He holds the skeet final round world record of 60 out of 60. Career At the 2015 Asian Shooting Championships in Kuwait City, the trio of Bajwa, Anant Naruka and Arjun Mann won the gold medal in the men's skeet junior team event. Bajwa also won gold in the junior individual event. Bajwa participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta where he shot 119 out of 125 and failed to qualify for the final. He won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Shotgun Championships in Kuwait City by shooting a world record 60 in the final round of the men's skeet competition. This was India's first ever gold medal in the skeet discipline in a continental or world-level tournament. Making a comeback after an illness, Bajwa won the bronze medal at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples. 2021 ISSF World Cup
The 2021 ISSF World Cup is the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events, governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the only stage that went ahead as planned was the first stage of the shotgun world cup in Nicosia, Cyprus. ISSF has renamed the year end ISSF World Cup Final to ISSF Champions Cup, the tournament will be conducted in Baku, Azerbaijan from 18 to 24 October. The Baku leg of the World Cup for Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun was cancelled due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the host country. Universiade Medalists For India
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games.
