Ang Yong Guan
Ang Yong Guan (; born 24 January 1955) is a Singaporean politician, psychiatrist and former colonel. He is the Progress Singapore Party Head of Training and Development since 2020. Early life Ang graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1979 and had his postgraduate training in psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh between 1984 and 1986. Political career Ang joined the Singapore Democratic Party as a candidate and contested in a four-member Holland–Bukit Timah Group Representation Constituency, Holland–Bukit Timah GRC at the 2011 Singaporean general election, 2011 general election and was defeated by People's Action Party where his team obtained 39.92% of valid votes. George Yeo
George Yeo Yong-Boon ( zh, s=杨荣文, p=Yáng Róngwén; born 13 September 1954) is a Singaporean former politician and brigadier-general who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs between 2004 and 2011. Yeo served in the Singapore Army and later Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) between 1976 and 1988 and attained the rank Brigadier-General. Kembangan, Singapore
Kembangan is a subzone and residential precinct located in the town of Bedok in the East Region of Singapore. It consists largely of private residential areas and a small public housing estate along Lengkong Tiga. Etymology Kembangan means "expansion" in Malay. The road Jalan Kembangan was officially named in 1932. History Kembangan along with the wider Geylang district was badly hit by the September 1964 race riots and schools in the area had to be closed for an extended period despite other schools in Singapore reopening after the curfew was lifted. Later in the 1980s, the Malay villages of Kampong Kembangan and Kampong Pachitan, which used to stand at present day Kembangan estate, were demolished to make way for redevelopments in the area.
