Ang Liga
Ang Liga () is an inter-collegiate football tournament based in the Philippines. It serves as a pre-season tourney for competing football varsity teams from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), UAAP and other similar collegiate leagues, before the regular football tournaments begin within the second semester of the academic year. Ang Liga, was founded in 2003 by Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Technical Director and Philippines national football team assistant coach Jose Ariston Caslib and Marlon Maro, who served as the head coach of the Philippines national under-23 football team. Ariel Serrantes is the league commissioner. The league changed the tournament format in 2015. 12 collegiate teams were placed under the first division and divided into two groups for the elimination round, while the remaining 7 teams played in the second division. 2023 Ang Liga Season
The 2023 Ang Liga season was the nineteenth edition of Ang Liga, an inter-collegiate pre-season football tournament in the Philippines. This was the first season of Ang Liga under the sponsorship of Adidas. The season started on August 13, 2023, and concluded on November 4, 2023. The league's first division was contested by twelve teams, while each team played a minimum of 5 matches in total, the most since the 2019 season. On July 24, the league announced that matches would be held at the new PALMS Arena in Quezon City. However, due to issues with the field, all Division 1 matches were held at the UP Diliman Football Field. The league's return to an all-collegiate lineup of teams marked the end of its temporary admission of guest teams back in Season 18, where non-collegiate club teams participated due to a lack of entrants following the pandemic. Benilde Blazers
The College of Saint Benilde Blazers are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), NCAA senior varsity team of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. The Blazers were formerly a member National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) before they applied and were admitted to the NCAA in 1998. They then went on to win their first NCAA seniors basketball title in 2000 was the fastest for an expansion squad. The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Blazers. The juniors team are the CSB–LSGH Junior Blazers (officially the La Salle Greenies, CSB–LSGH Greenies) of La Salle Green Hills, while the women's teams (volleyball and taekwondo) are the St. Benilde Lady Blazers. The La Salle Greenies (officially the CSB–LSGH Greenies in the NCAA, although sometimes incorrectly called the La Salle Green Hills Junior Blazers, or the La Salle Green Hills Junior Archers) is the varsity team representing La Salle Green Hills (located in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines) is the junior affiliate team of the St. Benilde Blazers in the NCAA. Adamson Soaring Falcons
The Adamson Soaring Falcons are the collegiate men's varsity teams of Adamson University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines which is the mother sports league of the ''Falcons''. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the ''Lady Falcons'' while the high school varsity teams are called the ''Baby Falcons'' and ''Lady Baby Falcons''. The University's varsity teams also participate in other sports leagues such as the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, Fr. Martin's Cup, University Games, and Premier Volleyball League. The Philippines Football League, commonly known as PFL, is a Filipino professional football league sanctioned by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). It is the Philippines' highest level of men's club football, supplanting the United Football League (UFL), which was previously the ''de facto'' top-tier league in the country. The De La Salle Green Archers (also known simply as the Green Archers) are the men's varsity teams representing De La Salle University in the Philippines. The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The collegiate women's varsity basketball team is called the ''Lady Eagles''. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles.
