Fun People
Fun People was a hardcore band from Argentina. Their lyrics were in English and Spanish, often mixing both languages in a single song or even line. Human and animal rights are frequent subjects in their lyrics. The band mixes punk music with other genres such as reggae, pop, tango, thrash metal and others. As the band became well known, skinheads who enjoyed the band's aggressive music in a violent way started to show up at concerts, prompting singer Nekro to call the band's genre "anti-fascist gay hardcore" in an attempt to get rid of those fans. For this reason Fun People is sometimes confused as queercore. History Early on, the band was called Anesthesia (as a tribute to Cliff Burton). When the band was about to release their first album, planned to be self-titled, they found out someone else had already copyrighted ''Anesthesia'' as a band name. ''Fun People'', the name of a fanzine Nekro made and sold at the band's concerts, was chosen as the band's new name and ''Anesthes ... Hardcore Punk
Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Argentine rock (known locally as ''rock nacional'' , "national rock" in the sense of "local", "not international") is rock music composed or performed by Argentine bands or artists mostly in Spanish. Argentine rock began by recycling hits of English-language rock & roll. However a rising trend of composing new songs mostly in Spanish can be traced at late 1960s, when several garage groups and aspiring musicians began composing songs and lyrics that related to local social and musical topics. Melodic Hardcore
Melodic hardcore is a broadly defined subgenre of hardcore punk with a strong emphasis on melody in its guitar work. It generally incorporates fast rhythms, melodic and often distorted guitar riffs, and vocal styles tending towards shouting and screaming. Nevertheless, the genre has been very diverse, with different bands showcasing very different styles. Many pioneering melodic hardcore bands (such as Bad Religion and Descendents), have proven influential across the spectrum of punk rock, as well as rock music more generally. The term "melodic punk" is often used to describe both melodic hardcore and skate punk bands. Kum Kum
is a Japanese animated television series, consisting of 26 episodes. The plot and characters were created by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, and it was directed by Rintaro and first broadcast on TBS between 3 October 1975 and 26 March 1976. The name was changed to ''Kum-Kum'' after the sixth episode. It was adapted as a manga in December 1975, written and illustrated by Takemaru Nagata, and serialized in Kodansha's ''Terebi Magajin'' (TV Magazine) under the name "Kum-Kum." A four-panel comic strip adaptation of the series also appeared periodically in Mainichi Shimbun in Osaka. The series explored the adventures of Kum-Kum, a naughty boy in primeval times, and his friends as they grow up, often playing antics that surprise the occasional visitor to their village, and which almost always end up with Kum-Kum being grounded by his stern father, Paru Paru.
