Anees Mokhiber (born July 30, 1992), known mononymously as Anees (stylized in small caps), is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter known for his hit song, " Sun and Moon", becoming the first international artist to top ''Billboard'' Philippines Songs chart. Life and career 1992–2018: Early life Anees Mokhiber was born on July 29, 1992, at Washington D.C. He was raised and has resided in Northern Virginia. Anees is biracial, with both Lebanese and Palestinian ancestry. Anees studied at George Mason University, majoring in philosophy and sociology in 2014. His courses became pivotal to his growth as a "deep thinker and conscious lyricist." Being a minority, Anees felt accessibility and opportunity in the school, "falling in love with my time on campus, whether it was going to office hours or walking around campus during sunset." Anees Salim is an Indian author known for his books like ''Vanity Bagh, The Blind Lady's Descendants'' and ''the Small Town Sea.'' He is from the town of Varkala, and now lives in Kochi, Kerala. He won the Sahitya Akademi Award for ''The Blind Lady's Descendants'' in 2018, becoming only the fourth Malayalee in history to win the award for an English work. Indian lawyer. He served as the Chief of Judicial and Legal Affairs, and formerly the Head of Chambers, of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Prior to his current appointment, Ahmed was: 1) a rapporteur for the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals; 2) a Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal; 3) a prosecuting attorney at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia; and 4) a Fellow at the International Court of Justice. Ahmed graduated in law from the London School of Economics where he was a Chevening Scholar. He is a member of the Lincoln's Inn and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of India.
