Andžejs Ļebedevs
Andžejs Ļebedevs (born 4 November 1994) is a Latvian speedway rider. Career Ļebedevs finished in 16th place during the 2022 Speedway World Championship, after securing 26 points during the 2022 Speedway Grand Prix. He was selected as a reserve for the 2023 Speedway Grand Prix. Also in 2022, he helped Wilki Krosno win the 2022 1.Liga. He finished his 2023 Speedway Grand Prix World Championship season with five full appearances and finished in 16th place and later received a permanent wildcard slot for the 2024 Speedway Grand Prix. In 2024, he helped Latvia reach the final of the 2024 Speedway of Nations in Manchester despite riding with three broken ribs. He also reached the final of the 2024 Speedway European Championship and won two rounds of the championship. Daugavpils (see also other names) is a state city in southeastern Latvia, located on the banks of the Daugava River, from which the city derives its name. Latvia National Speedway Team
The Latvia national speedway team is one of the nations that compete in international motorcycle speedway. History As the Soviet Union The Soviet Union speedway team (which was composed predominantly of Russian riders but also Ukrainian, Latvian and Belarus riders) first competed in the 1961 edition of the Speedway World Team Cup, where they finished second in the East European round. Throughout the history of World Team Cup, the team were regular World Cup contenders from 1961 until their final World Cup in 1983. The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual Motorcycle speedway, speedway event held each year organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. 2017 Speedway European Championship
The 2017 Speedway European Championship season was the fifth season of the Speedway European Championship (SEC) era, and the 17th UEM Individual Speedway European Championship. It was the fifth series under the promotion of One Sport Lts. of Poland. The championship was won by Andžejs Ļebedevs, who claimed the title for the first time. Despite not winning a round, he finished in second place three times, leaving him seven points clear of Russia's Artem Laguta in the final standings. Last year's runner-up Václav Milík finished third, while Krzysztof Kasprzak and Andreas Jonsson secured the final spots in the 2018 line-up by finishing forth and fifth respectively. 2021 Speedway Of Nations
The 2021 Speedway of Nations (sponsored by Monster Energy) was the fourth FIM Speedway of Nations. The competition consisted of two semi-finals and a final. The final was held on 16 & 17 October 2021 and was won by Great Britain, with Poland taking silver and Denmark bronze. During the final Poland took a first leg lead of ten points ahead of Great Britain. Britain's multiple world champion Tai Woffinden suffered an injury after crashing heavily and was replaced by Dan Bewley for the second leg. Denmark topped the points table during the second leg but Poland earned an automatic place in the grand final after finishing with the highest total from the two legs. This meant that Denmark and Great Britain would take part in the eliminator as the second and third best teams, which Britain won by 6 points to 3. The 2014 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 69th edition of the official World Championship and the 20th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, deciding the FIM Speedway World Championship. The 2013 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 68th edition of the official World Championship and the 19th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, deciding the FIM Speedway World Championship.
