Andy Tomberlin
Andy Lee Tomberlin (born November 7, 1966) is an American former professional baseball outfielder who played mainly at right field for five different teams between the 1993 and 1998 seasons. Listed at , 160 lbs, he batted and threw left-handed. A hard-throwing pitcher converted to full-time outfielder, Tomberlin entered the majors in 1993 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, playing for them one year before joining the Boston Red Sox (1994), Oakland Athletics (1995), New York Mets (1996–1997) and Detroit Tigers (1998). His most productive season came in 1995 with Oakland, when he posted career-numbers in home runs (4), runs (15), RBI (10) and stolen bases (4), while hitting a .212 batting average in 46 games. Then, with the 1996 Mets he hit .258 in a career-high 63 games. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). Charlotte Knights
The Charlotte Knights are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. They are located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and play their home games at Truist Field, which opened in 2014 and is located in Uptown Charlotte. In baseball statistics, earned run average (ERA) is the average of earned runs allowed by a pitcher per nine innings pitched (i.e. the traditional length of a game).
