Andy Parrino
Andrew B. Parrino (born October 31, 1985) is an American former professional baseball player. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics. College Parrino has Albanian origin from Italy, Sicily. Parrino played three years of college baseball at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. He was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2007. He was only the second position player to make it to MLB out of Le Moyne. Professional career San Diego Padres Parrino was drafted by the Padres in the 26th round of the 2007 MLB draft and signed by the team's Northeast Scouting Director, Jim Bretz. Shortstop
Shortstop, abbreviated SS, is the baseball or softball fielding position between second and third base, which is considered to be among the most demanding defensive positions. Historically the position was assigned to defensive specialists who were typically poor at batting and were often placed at the bottom of the batting order. Today, shortstops are often able to hit well and many are placed at the top of the lineup. In the numbering system used by scorers to record defensive plays, the shortstop is assigned the number 6. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC, ) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. Of its current 11 full members, 10 are located in three states of the northeastern United States: Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. The other member is in Maryland. Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two sports league, leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per each Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL. Tyson William Ross (born April 22, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Detroit Tigers. The Tucson Padres were a minor league baseball team representing Tucson, Arizona in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). They were the Triple-A affiliate for the San Diego Padres.
