The following is a list of video game characters featured in the ''Fatal Fury'' fighting game series developed by SNK. Creation and design Series' creator Takashi Nishiyama stated that giving the characters depth was of great importance when making the series. He noted that the first ''Fatal Fury'' featured a more polished plot and more fleshed out characters than that of his previous work, the original ''Street Fighter'', which led to the game gaining a strong fanbase. To help market the games, certain character details were revealed in magazine promotions rather than the games themselves. Introduced in ''Fatal Fury'' Andy Bogard : Andy Bogard (アンディー・ボガード, ''Andī Bogādo'') is Terry Bogard's younger brother. Andy practices the Shiranui-ryū ("Shiranui style" in Japanese) Ninjutsu and a form of empty-handed ninja combat called Koppō-ken, which he trained in after witnessing his foster father's murder, in order to gain revenge on Geese Howard. Ash Crimson
is a character in ''The King of Fighters'' fighting game series developed by SNK Playmore. His first appearance was in '' The King of Fighters 2003'' as leader of its Hero Team. Ash, a teenager, participates in the series' fighting tournaments. He employs a personal fighting style that involves pyrokinesis with green flames. Despite being the series' protagonist during its third story arc, Ash's behavior is generally antagonistic and he tries to steal powers from several recurring characters, leaving them powerless. His identity and intentions are further explored in the 2011 title, ''The King of Fighters XIII'', and he has been featured in print adaptations and a drama CD based on the games. SNK Playmore staff created Ash as an evil main character, in contrast to previous main characters. ''Real Bout Fatal Fury Special'' is a 1997 Arcade video game, arcade fighting game released by SNK for the Neo Geo (system), Neo Geo. It is the sixth installment in the ''Fatal Fury'' series and the second game in the ''Real Bout'' sub-series, following ''Real Bout Fatal Fury'' (1995). The game features entirely new graphics and returns to the two-level plane system from ''Fatal Fury 2''. In Japan, it was ported in 1998 to the Sega Saturn and as an updated version, ''Real Bout Special: Dominated Mind'', to the PlayStation (console), PlayStation. A Game Boy version was published by Takara in Japan. ''Real Bout Fatal Fury Special'' was included in the ''Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 2'' compilation in February 2007 for the PlayStation 2, which was made available in North America. ''Real Bout Fatal Fury'' is a 1995 fighting game released by SNK for the Neo Geo (console), Neo-Geo arcade and home platforms. It is the fourth mainline installment in the ''Fatal Fury'' series, following ''Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory''. It the fifth game in the series overall, and the first game of the ''Real Bout'' sub-series. Ports of ''Real Bout'' were released in February 1996 for the Neo-Geo CD and PlayStation (console), PlayStation in Japan and Europe. In September 1996, a port was released in Japan for the Sega Saturn, which requires the 1MB RAM cartridge for the system. It was included in ''Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 2'' compilation released in February 2007 for the PlayStation 2.
