Andy Barrett is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Tai Hara. The character made his first screen appearance on 28 August 2013. Hara relocated to Sydney to take on the role. Kyle Pryor who plays fellow character Nate Cooper originally auditioned for the role. Tai Hara (born 29 March 1990) is an Australian actor, presenter and filmmaker. Early life and career Hara was born in Sydney. He attended The Southport School on the Gold Coast, Queensland.(Schripp, Debbie) before attending Queensland University of Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) in 2010. Following his graduation, Hara presented the television show ''Cash Call'', which he hosted for two seasons.
