Andy Arnott
Andrew John Arnott (born 18 October 1973) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League, but also occasionally deputised as a forward. He began his career with Gillingham, later joining Manchester United on loan with a view to a permanent move, although he made no appearances. He subsequently played for Leyton Orient, Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion and Colchester United in the Football League. Career Born in Chatham, Arnott began his career at nearby Gillingham, where he signed his first professional contract in May 1991. At the end of the 1991–92 season, after only 32 appearances and 8 goals, Arnott went on loan to Manchester United, specifically to play in the Blue Star youth tournament in Zurich. He started all United's games as they reached the final, scoring two of their six goals, before they lost 1–0 to FC Spartak Moscow. Chatham, Kent
Chatham ( ) is a town located within the Medway unitary authority in the ceremonial county of Kent, England. The town forms a conurbation with neighbouring towns Gillingham, Rochester, Strood and Rainham. The town developed around Chatham Dockyard and several Army barracks, together with 19th-century forts which provided a defensive shield for the dockyard. The Corps of Royal Engineers is still based in Chatham at Brompton Barracks. The Dockyard closed in 1984, but the remaining major naval buildings are an attraction for a flourishing tourist industry. The 1999–2000 season was the 120th season of competitive football in England. Overview Premier League Manchester United were crowned FA Premier League champions with an 18-point margin over runners-up Arsenal and with just 3 league defeats all season. This was despite their failure to retain the European Cup and withdrawal from the FA Cup in order to compete in the FIFA Club World Championship – a campaign which was short lived. Overview Premier League Manchester United overcame close competition from Arsenal and Chelsea to win their fifth Premiership title in seven seasons. Promotion to and relegation from the Football League returned after a three-season absence, with one relegation spot in Division Three.
