Neville Anderson (born 18 July 1947) known professionally as Andy Anderson and also billed as Andy James, is a New Zealand musician and actor who worked a lot in Australia. As a musician he is best known as the lead singer of 1960s band The Missing Links, and as an actor he is well known for his roles on both Australian and New Zealand television. Andy Holm Anderson (November 13, 1922 – July 18, 1982) was a professional baseball player whose career spanned 10 seasons, including two in Major League Baseball with the St. Louis Browns (1948–1949). Over his major league career, Anderson compiled a batting average of .184 with 23 runs, 41 hits, eight doubles, one triple, two home runs and 17 runs batted in (RBIs) in 122 games played. Anderson also played in the minor leagues with the Class-D Paragould Browns (1941), the Class-B Springfield Browns (1942), the Double-A San Antonio Missions (1946–1947, 1950–1951), the Class-B Longview Cherokees (1952), the open-class Los Angeles Angels (1952), the Class-A Spokane Indians (1953) and the Class-A Yakima Bears (1953). Clifford Leon "Andy" Anderson (30 January 1951 – 26 February 2019) was a British drummer, best known for his work with The Cure and Steve Hillage. Life and work Anderson worked on ''Xitintoday,'' a studio album released by former Hawkwind member Nik Turner's project Sphynx in 1978, which was produced by Steve Hillage. He then joined Hillage's band and appeared on his two 1979 albums, ''Live Herald'' and ''Open''. After a few years as a session musician, he had a brief stint in Hawkwind in 1983, but did not record with them. Andrew Anderson (born 7 August 1953) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a central defender; his only club at the professional level was Partick Thistle, where he spent eleven seasons, making 282 appearances for the ''Jags'' in all competitions and scoring five goals. Roland "Andy" Bennett Anderson OBE (October 23, 1913 – December 9, 2010) was an American retired major general, who served as the 7th mayor of Naples, Florida from 1978 until 1982. Biography Military career Anderson was born on October 23, 1913. He initially attended the University of Oklahoma. However, he graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1938. He served during World War II as an ordnance staff officer for the U.S. anti-aircraft command in the Pacific theater. Anderson later joined the Pentagon's Chief of Ordnance office following the end of World War II. This included a position in Peru. Anderson was promoted to Assistant Chief of Staff G-4 for the U.S. Army Logistics Command based in Europe.
