André Krust
André Krust (10 May 1926 – 7 September 2020) was a French classical pianist. Biography Born in Belfort, Krust studied at the Conservatoire de Paris in Jean Doyen's class and won a second prize for piano in 1950. He later worked with Yves Nat and Pierre Kostanoff, and won a prize at the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in 1956. He has been teaching at the Amiens and Montreuil conservatories, at the Université d'Ottawa and the Conservatoire de Luxembourg. He died in Aulnay-sous-Bois on 7 September 2020. Aulnay-sous-Bois () is a commune in the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the Île-de-France region in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the Kilometre zero. Robert Schumann
Robert Schumann (; 8 June 181029 July 1856) was a German composer, pianist, and influential music critic. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of the Romantic era. Schumann left the study of law, intending to pursue a career as a virtuoso pianist. His teacher, Friedrich Wieck, a German pianist, had assured him that he could become the finest pianist in Europe, but a hand injury ended this dream. Schumann then focused his musical energies on composing. In 1840, Schumann married Friedrich Wieck's daughter Clara Wieck, after a long and acrimonious legal battle with Friedrich, who opposed the marriage. Conservatoire De Luxembourg
The Conservatoire de Luxembourg is a conservatoire in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The conservatoire was founded in 1906, after a private donation made possible its establishment, which had been mandated under a Grand Ducal decree issued in 1904. The conservatoire currently has over 2,600 students, from 60 countries, studying over 5,000 courses in total. It is located on Campus Geesseknäppchen, along with several other educational institutions; most of the campus lies in Hollerich, but the western part, in which the Conservatoire is located, is in Merl quarter. The need for a new building emerged in the 1970s as a result of increasing demand.
