Andrzej Wiszowaty Jr.
Andrzej Wiszowaty Jr. (c.1690 – 1735) was a grandson of Andrzej Wiszowaty Sr. He taught at the Unitarian Gymnasium in Kolozsvár (today Cluj ) from 1726 or before. It appears that Andrzej Jr. was born while his father Benedykt Wiszowaty was a Unitarian minister in Kosinowo, in the Duchy of Prussia. From 1712 to 1722 he studied in the Netherlands. In September 1722 he presided for the first time over Communion of the Polish Unitarian congregation in Kolozsvár, of which he was pastor. John Sigismund Unitarian Academy
The John Sigismund Unitarian Academy ( hu, János Zsigmond Unitárius Kollégium), located in Cluj-Napoca (formerly Kolozsvár), Romania, was a theological school founded in 1557 by the Unitarian Diocese of Transylvania. Foundation The Diet of Torda (1557) established three schools in the former monasteries of Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca), Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureş) and Nagyvárad (Oradea). Queen Isabella, regent for the infant John Sigismund, granted the school in Kolozsvár the annual sum of 100 forints. The then Lutheran Ferenc Dávid was appointed rector but shortly afterwards he converted to Calvinism (1564–1567) and then Anti–trinitarianism, and from 1568 Unitarianism. His son-in-law Johann Sommer was moderator of the Academy. In the next generation György Enyedi was moderator of the Academy. Benedykt Wiszowaty (c.1650 – after 1704 Kosinowo) was a Polish Socinian, nobleman, author and publisher. After the Sejm expelled the Socinians from Poland, he left the country with his father. From 1666, they lived in Amsterdam, where he conducted publishing activities. Around 1680 he moved to the Duchy of Prussia.
