Andrzej Wasilewicz
Andrzej Wasilewicz (10 March 1951 – 13 December 2016) was a Polish stage and film actor, and film director. Wasilewicz was born in Białogard in 1951. In 1975, he graduated from PWST in Warsaw. His first major film role came in 1974—as Zenek, Ania's fiancé—in the film ''Nie ma mocnych''. Since the 1980s he lived in the U.S. and studied at the Columbia University. Wasilewicz had suffered from Parkinson's disease and died from the disease on December 13, 2016, at a hospital on Long Island, New York. He was 65. Białogard
Białogard (pronounced , german: Belgard, ; Pomeranian: ''Biôłogard'') is a historic town in Middle Pomerania, northwestern Poland, with 23,614 inhabitants as of December 2021. The capital of Białogard County in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship since 1999, the town was previously in Koszalin Voivodeship (1950–1998). It is the most important railroad junction of Middle Pomerania, which links Kołobrzeg with Piła and Gdańsk with Stargard. History According to archaeologists the Białogard stronghold was built in the fork of the Parsęta and Leśnica Rivers as early as the 8th century. Teddy Bear (1980 Film)
''Teddy Bear'' is the English title of ''Miś'' , a 1981 Polish comedy film directed by Stanisław Bareja. ''Teddy Bear'', along with '' The Cruise'' ''(Rejs)'', was a reflection of contemporary Polish society using surreal humor to somehow get past the censorship at the time. It gained cult status in its native country. Later, the film was reappraised by critics and it has been regarded as one of the best Polish films ever made. Plot Rysiek (Stanisław Tym, who also co-wrote the screenplay), the shrewd manager of a state-sponsored sports club, has to travel to London before his ex-wife Irena ( Barbara Burska) gets there to collect a large sum of money from their joint savings account. TVN24 is a Polish 24-hour commercial news channel, launched on 9 August 2001. Being a part of the TVN Network, TVN24 has been owned since July 2017 by US-based media company Warner Bros. Discovery. It gained broader popularity after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the US, which was the first major incident to be covered by TVN24.
