Andriy Oleksandrovych Oberemko ( uk, Андрій Олександрович Оберемко; born 8 March 1984) is a Ukrainian professional association football player. Oberemko was born in Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, and is Jewish. Playing career In 2006, Oberemko attracted interest from Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem. Being Jewish, Oberemko would not count against the clubs' foreign player cap. Kiev demanded $220,000 for Oberemko. Talks eventually stalled, and Oberemko ended up leaving Kiev on a free transfer to FC Kharkiv. Tokmak, Ukraine
Tokmak ( uk, Токмак, ) is a city in Polohy Raion in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast (province) of south-central Ukraine. The city stands on the River Tokmachka, a tributary of the River Tokmak. Prior to 2020, it served as the administrative center of the Tokmak Raion (district). Free Transfer (association Football)
In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The player can then go on to sign for any club offering a contract to them. How it works The club acquiring the player does not have to pay any compensation for their release due to having nothing left to pay on their contract, hence, the term free transfer. Some individual leagues have restrictions to protect academies.
