The thirteenth season of ''American Idol'', styled as ''American Idol XIII'', premiered on the Fox television network on January 15, 2014. Ryan Seacrest returned as host for his thirteenth season. Keith Urban was the only judge from the twelfth season to return. Former judge Jennifer Lopez, who returned after a one-season absence, and new judge and Harry Connick Jr. both joined the judging panel following the departures of Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Randy Jackson, though Jackson returned as a mentor, replacing Jimmy Iovine. On May 21, Caleb Johnson was announced the winner and Jena Irene was the runner-up. Vagaland (6 March 1909 – 30 December 1973), was a Scottish poet from Shetland. Biography Born Thomas Alexander Robertson at Westerwick at the southern tip of the parish of Sandsting, his mother's home. He was the second son of Andrina Johnston and Thomas Robertson of Skeld, a merchant seaman. His father drowned before his first birthday, and his mother moved with her two sons to Stove in Waas. He grew up in hardship though his love for the land and the people overcame that. It was the old Norse name for the area that he adopted as his pen name. A shy boy who adjusted with difficulty to the rough and tumble of school, he was nonetheless able both at physical and intellectual pursuits, and in time he excelled. He took his MA at the University of Edinburgh and was offered the possibility of postgraduate work at Oxford, which he turned down for financial reasons, instead becoming a teacher at the Lerwick Central School and carer to his ailing mother. Engelina Andrina Larsen (born 1978) is a Danish singer and songwriter who is best known for writing and providing the vocals for DJ Encore's "I See Right Through to You", which was a number-one hit in her native Denmark. Early life Engelina, the daughter of Ann-Cathrin and songwriter Henning Larsen, grew up on Bornholm with her two older sisters. She was originally a jazz and soul singer. Aquaman
