Andrey Popovich
Andrey Popovich ( uk, Андрій Володимирович Попович, hu, Popovics András Vlagyimir; born 4 March 1992) is an Azerbaijani professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for LNZ Cherkasy. Career Club Andrey Popovich began playing football in Ukraine. He played for Zakarpattia Uzhhorod and Metalurh Donetsk before signing a contract with FC Baku. In 2010 he was a part of Absheron which won Azerbaijan First Division. In 2011, he signed for Sumgayit FK followed by Turan Tovuz in 2012. In 2013, he signed with Tavşanlı Linyitspor, but in winter 2014 he returned to Sumgayit. In June 2015, Popovich signed for Gabala FK. He left Gabala a year later, on 6 June 2016. The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League was the twenty first season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 4 August 2012 and finished on 20 May 2013. Neftchi Baku are the defending champions, having won the previous season. No club from 2012–13 Azerbaijan First Division was directly promoted.
