Andrey Ivanovich Denisov (russian: Андре́й Ива́нович Дени́сов; born October 3, 1952) is a Russian diplomat, who served as the Russian Ambassador to China from to . He is fluent in Chinese, as well as English, apart from his native language. The Federation Council (russian: Совет Федерации is the upper house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, the parliament of the Russian Federation. Each of the 85 federal subjects of Russia – consisting of 22 republics, 46 oblasts, nine krais, three federal cities, four autonomous okrugs, and one autonomous oblast – sends two senators to the Council, for a total membership of 170 senators. The Order of Friendship (russian: Орден Дружбы, ') is a state decoration of the Russian Federation established by Boris Yeltsin by presidential decree 442 of 2 March 1994 to reward Russian and foreign nationals whose work, deeds and efforts have been aimed at the betterment of relations with the Russian Federation and its people. The design of order was created by Alexander Zhuk. Its statute was later amended by presidential decree 19 of 6 January 1999, presidential decree 1999 of 7 September 2010, presidential decree 1631 of 16 December 2011, and presidential decree 308 of 16 March 2012.
