Andrew Parsons (American Politician)
Andrew Parsons (July 22, 1817 – June 6, 1855) was an American politician from the U.S. state of Michigan. Early life in New York Parsons was born in Hoosick, New York. He was the son of John Parsons, and the grandson of Andrew Parsons, a Revolutionary soldier, who was the son of Phineas Parsons, the son of Samuel Parsons. Life and politics in Michigan Parsons moved to Michigan Territory in 1835 and spent the summer teaching in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ann Arbor. In the fall, he explored nearly the entire length of the Grand River (Michigan), Grand River valley by canoe, from Jackson, Michigan, Jackson to Lake Michigan. He spent the winter working as a store clerk in Ionia County, Michigan, Ionia County and in the spring went to Marshall, Michigan, Marshall to live with his brother, Luke H. Parsons. Andrew Parsons is a British professional photographer who has worked with the Conservative Party and, as a civil servant, in close liaison with the four of the five most recent Prime Ministers: David Cameron, Boris Johnson, Theresa May and Liz Truss. Career After working at the '' Cambridge Evening News'' and ''The Times'' , Parsons became a Press Association (PA) photographer in 2001. During 2007 he was embedded with the 1st Battalion, the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment in Helmand province, Afghanistan, on behalf of the PA. He also covered conflicts in Iraq, Lebanon and Bosnia. He was employed as an official photographer by the Conservative Party during the 2010 election campaign, for which his company Parsons Media received payments totalling £45,525.25. A member of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador, he represents the electoral district of Burgeo-La Poile. Andrew George William Parsons (born 10 February 1977) is a Brazilian sports administrator and journalist. He is the current president of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). In 2018, Parsons became a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Biography Parsons was born in Brazil to Scottish parents. He served as chairperson of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee from 2009 to 2017, chairperson of the Americas Paralympic Committee from 2005 to 2009, and as a member of the Nominating Committee for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.. Andrew John Parsons (born 30 November 1966) is an English comedian and writer. He regularly appeared on ''Mock the Week'' from Series 3 to Series 14. With comedy partner Henry Naylor, he has written and presented nine series of ''Parsons and Naylor's Pull-Out Sections'' for BBC Radio 2. Early life Parsons was born in Weymouth, Dorset. He attended Parc Eglos Primary School, Helston Comprehensive School in Cornwall and Churston Ferrers Grammar School, Torbay (Devon) before going to Christ's College, Cambridge to study Law, where he met and formed a double act with Henry Naylor which twice toured with the National Student Theatre Company and once with the Footlights.
