Andrew Mogrelia
Andrew Mogrelia is a British conductor with a varied career conducting symphonic works, ballets and a large discography for the Naxos label. Career Andrew Mogrelia was Conductor-in-Residence at Birmingham Conservatoire, United Kingdom, from 1992 to 2002, and music director of the San Francisco Ballet from 2003 to 2005. He was, from 2005-2012, Music Director of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Orchestra. And, after serving as the Principal Guest Conductor of the Queensland Ballet from 2009-2013, he was promoted to Music Director and Principal Conductor for that ensemble from 2013-2015. Birmingham Conservatoire
The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is a music school, drama school and concert venue in Birmingham, England. It provides professional education in music, acting, and related disciplines up to postgraduate level. George Frideric (or Frederick) Handel (; baptised , ; 23 February 1685 – 14 April 1759) was a German-British Baroque composer well known for his operas, oratorios, anthems, concerti grossi, and organ concertos. Josef Suk (composer)
Josef Suk (4 January 1874 – 29 May 1935) was a Czech composer and violinist. He studied under Antonín Dvořák, whose daughter he married. Biography From a young age, Josef Suk (born in Křečovice, Bohemia) was deeply involved and well trained in music. He learned organ, violin, and piano from his father, Josef Suk Sr., and was trained further in violin by the Czech violinist Antonín Bennewitz. His theory studies were conducted with several other composers including Josef Bohuslav Foerster, Karel Knittl, and Karel Stecker. Henri François Joseph Vieuxtemps ( 17 February 18206 June 1881) was a Belgian composer and violinist. He occupies an important place in the history of the violin as a prominent exponent of the Franco-Belgian violin school during the mid-19th century. He is also known for playing what is now known as the Vieuxtemps Guarneri del Gesù, a violin of superior workmanship.
