Andrew Maury is an American record producer, mixing engineer, and songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. Career Maury has worked with artists such as Lewis Del Mar, Lizzo, Ra Ra Riot, Shawn Mendes, JP Saxe, Post Malone, RAC, Jeremy Zucker, Madi Diaz, Kimbra, COIN, The Kooks, CRUISR, Delicate Steve, Atlas Genius, Flor, Penguin Prison, Isaac Dunbar, and CRUISR. Andrew started his career in 2008 touring with Ra Ra Riot mixing front-of-house while producing / mixing small bands and artists between tours. In the summer of 2009, he worked on Tegan and Sara's ''Sainthood'' alongside producer and Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla at the world-famous Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. CRUISR (pronounced cruiser) is an American indie pop band based in Philadelphia. They are signed to Vagrant Records. The line-up consists of Andy States (Vocals, Guitar), Jon Van Dine (Drums), and Bruno Catrambone (Guitar). Sound City Studios is a recording studio in Los Angeles, California, known as one of the most successful in popular music. The complex opened in 1969 in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles. The facility had previously been a production factory of the English musical instrument manufacturer Vox. Christopher Ryan Walla (born November 2, 1975) is an American musician, record producer, and film music composer, best known for being a former guitarist and songwriter for the band Death Cab for Cutie. Musical career Early bands While at Bothell High School in the early 1990s, Walla started a program called Open Microphone with creative writing teacher Laura Drumheller, as a noon-time forum for the arts, which allowed any student to take the stage and perform. ''Sainthood'' is the sixth studio album by the Canadian indie pop duo Tegan and Sara, released in the UK on October 26, 2009 and in the US on October 27, by Sire Records. The album was a shortlisted nominee for the 2010 Polaris Music Prize. Background This is the first album by Tegan and Sara to feature a song co-written by the pair, as they usually choose to write separately. However, it was not written while Tegan and Sara stayed together in New Orleans as an attempt to write together.
