Andrew J. Krakouer
Andrew James Krakouer (born 4 February 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club and Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Krakouer is the son of Jim Krakouer and nephew of Phil Krakouer. He began playing colts football for South Fremantle in the WAFL. He is the cousin of former Gold Coast and Port Adelaide player Nathan Krakouer. AFL career Richmond He was drafted with the 41st selection in the 2000 AFL draft by Richmond, who had received the draft pick by trading Ben Harrison to the Western Bulldogs. Before making his AFL debut, Krakouer played for Richmond's affiliate team the Coburg Tigers in the VFL. South Fremantle Football Club
South Fremantle Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Fremantle, Western Australia. The club plays in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL) and the WAFL Women's (WAFLW), commonly going by the nickname the ''Bulldogs''. Phil Krakouer
Phillip Brent Krakouer (born 15 January 1960) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club during the 1980s. Notable for his speed, freakish skills and an uncanny ability to pass the ball to his brother, Jim Krakouer, who also played for North Melbourne. The position favoured for Phil Krakouer was as a half-forward flank or wingman. The Krakouer brothers, the children of Eric and Phoebe Krakouer, were born and lived in Mount Barker, Western Australia. The brothers played their first senior football for Mount Barker for the North Mount Barker Football Club as teenagers, where their incredible skills were first noticed. Mercantile Football Association
The Metro Football League (MFL) is one of two community based football leagues based in Perth, Western Australia. The league is made up of 10 clubs over one division. History Formerly known as the Mercantile Football Association, the league had its origins as a social league playing fortnightly in the late 1980s. Some of the clubs were Cockburn Cement, Komatsu and the Rosemount Hotel. A change in the administration in the late 1990s saw a more formalised competition, meaning incorporation of the league, board of control, a regular season, transfers, and accredited umpires officiating. New clubs joining had more of a community base, rather than social or workplace, with some of those being Quinns and Ellenbrook. Wooroloo Prison
Wooroloo Prison Farm is an Australian minimum-security prison located in Wooroloo, Western Australia. It was established in 1972 under an arrangement that it would offer some of its amenities to the community of Wooroloo. It was previously the site of a sanatorium. History The Wooroloo Sanatorium was officially opened on 1 May 1915, designed by two Western Australian Principal Architects, Hillson Beasley and William Hardwick The complex operated as a tuberculosis sanatorium until 1959. The Swan Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Swans, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW).
