Andrew He
Andrew He (born 1997) is an American competitive programmer and the winner of the 2021 Facebook Hacker Cup. Background He was born in 1997. Starting from sixth grade, he participated in various mathematics competitions such as the American Mathematics Competitions, the American Invitational Mathematics Examination, the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad and HMMT. In many of them, he placed in the top 20 overall. He attended the Math Olympiad Program. He attended Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, California from 2011 to 2015. During his time there, he started competitive programming in 2012. He won two gold medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics in 2014 and 2015. He attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer science. ''Jeopardy!'' is an American game show created by Merv Griffin. The show is a quiz competition that reverses the traditional question-and-answer format of many quiz shows. Rather than being given questions, contestants are instead given general knowledge clues in the form of answers and they must identify the person, place, thing, or idea that the clue describes, phrasing each response in the form of a question. Google Code Jam
Google Code Jam is an international programming competition hosted and administered by Google. The competition began in 2003. The competition consists of a set of algorithmic problems which must be solved in a fixed amount of time. Competitors may use any programming language and development environment to obtain their solutions. From 2003 to 2007, Google Code Jam was deployed on Topcoder's platform. Since 2008 Google has developed their own dedicated infrastructure for the contest. Between 2015 and 2018, Google also ran Distributed Code Jam, with the focus on distributed algorithms. This was run in parallel with the regular Code Jam, with its own qualification and final round, for a top prize of $10,000, but was only open for people who qualified to Round 2 of Code Jam (up to 3000 people). Code-Chef is an online educational program and competitive programming community of global programmers. Code-Chef started as an educational initiative in 2009 by Directi, an Indian software company. In 2020, it became owned by Unacademy. Along with monthly coding contests for the community, Code-Chef has initiatives for schools, colleges and women in competitive programming. Romanian Master Of Mathematics And Sciences
The Romanian Master of Mathematics and Sciences (formerly known as the Romanian Masters in Mathematics) is an annual competition for students at the pre-university level, held in Bucharest, Romania. Mathcounts, stylized as MATHCOUNTS, is a nationwide middle school mathematics competition held in various places in the United States. Its current lead sponsors are Raytheon Technologies and the U.S. Department of Defense STEM. Topics covered include geometry, counting, probability, number theory, and algebra.
