Andrew Ford (born 1957) is an English-born Australian composer, writer and radio presenter, known for '' The Music Show'' on Radio National. Biography Andrew Ford was born in 1957 in Liverpool, UK. Ford was composer-in-residence with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (1992–94), held the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composer Fellowship from 1998 to 2000 and was awarded a two-year fellowship by the Music Board of the Australia Council for the Arts for 2005 to 2006. He was appointed composer-in-residence at the Australian National Academy of Music in 2009. Beyond composing, Ford has been an academic in the Faculty of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong (1983–95). He has written widely on music and published seven books. He represented the Bahamas national cricket team in 20 matches. Ford made his debut for the Bahamas in the 2004 Americas Affiliates Championship against the Turks and Caicos Islands. Andrew Carl Ford (born 4 May 1954, Minehead) is an English football manager and former professional player. Playing career Ford played for Southend United, Swindon Town and Gillingham between 1972 and 1982. He also played for non-league Dartford. Managerial career Ford's first management job was at Gravesend and Northfleet (now known as Ebbsfleet United). He guided the team to the Isthmian League title in 2001-02 and several Kent Senior Cup successes, and then kept the side in the Conference Premier for several seasons before his resignation in 2005. He is the club's most successful manager. Shortly after leaving Gravesend, Ford became assistant manager of Stevenage Borough, spending a year at the club before leaving in 2006. Education and career Forde is a Materials Science and Engineering alumnus of the University of Toronto. In 2012, Forde was a Master's student in Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation at McMaster University. Forde's first start-up, Sommerfeld Solutions, operated in the areas of mining, information technology, and healthcare. The Electronic Chart (TEC), a sommerfeld project, was one of 30 projects to receive funds through a funding initiative from McMaster and the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario. Andrew Fordham (2 February 1962 – 15 July 2021) was an English professional darts player, commonly known as The Viking. He won the 2004 BDO World Darts Championship and the 1999 Winmau World Masters. Darts career Fordham made his first appearance on the stage at Lakeside in the 1995 BDO World Darts Championship and reached the semi-finals before losing to Richie Burnett. Another semi-final defeat followed in 1996, this time to Steve Beaton. On both these occasions, his victor then went on to claim the title. Second round defeats followed in 1997 (to Marshall James) and 1998 (to Raymond van Barneveld) before Fordham made it to the semi-final stage of the World Championship for third time in 1999, but was defeated by Ronnie Baxter.
