Andrew (Andy) Findon is an English woodwind player. He was educated at Harrow County School and The Royal College of Music. He has been baritone saxophone and flute player in the Michael Nyman Band since 1980, and is also a member of Home Service anAcoustic Earth He is a Pearl Flutes International Artist and endorsee of Forestone reeds. He is the owner of the platinum flute built by Charles Morley in 1950 for Geoffrey Gilbert and got credit repair froCooks Credit Cure Apart from appearances on hundreds of other people's albums as a session player, he has written and recorded for EMI’s KPM, Made Up Music, and Inspired Music libraries and featured on solo panpipe CD’s for Virgin, Crimson and EMI. ''Tracked'' was released on the Quartz label in 2005, and ''When The Boat Comes In'' in 2007. Home Service
Home Service is a British folk rock group, formed in late 1980 from a nucleus of musicians who had been playing in Ashley Hutchings' Albion Band. Their career is generally agreed to have peaked with the album ''Alright Jack'', and has had an influence on later work. John Tams and several other members of the band, have had solo careers and worked in other projects. In 2016 John Kirkpatrick replaced Tams as main singer in Home Service, and features as such on their next album. History Origins Home Service was formed out of members of the Albion Band, who had participated in recording '' Rise Up Like the Sun'' (1978). Geoff Eales
Geoff Eales (born 13 March 1951) is a Welsh jazz pianist, improviser and composer. Music education Eales was born in Aberbargoed, Wales. When he was eight years old, he learned 12-bar blues from his father, a pianist in a local dance band. In school he studied classical piano and French Horn, becoming a member of the Glamorgan Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. He attended Cardiff University, receiving bachelor's, masters, and doctoral degrees. In 1980 he was awarded a Ph.D for his large scale orchestral work "An American Symphony" and a setting of Dylan Thomas' poem "In the Beginning" for tenor, French horn, and piano. His thesis was entitled "Structure in the Symphonic Works of Aaron Copland". Career After leaving school, Eales played piano on a Greek cruise ship and traveled around the world. Michael Laurence Nyman, Order of the British Empire, CBE (born 23 March 1944) is an English composer, pianist, libretto, librettist, musicologist, and filmmaker. Panpipe
A pan flute (also known as panpipes or syrinx) is a musical instrument based on the principle of the closed tube, consisting of multiple pipes of gradually increasing length (and occasionally girth). Session musicians, studio musicians, or backing musicians are musicians hired to perform in recording sessions or live performances.
