Andrew Dawber
Andrew John Dawber (born 20 November 1994) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Born in Wigan, Dawber made his senior debut for Accrington Stanley on 4 September 2012 in the 0–2 defeat to Morecambe in the first round of the Football League Trophy. His performance "impressed" manager Paul Cook. In February 2013, Dawber signed a new contract with the club which ran until the summer of 2015. In August 2013, Dawber joined Northern Premier League side Marine on one-month loan, before joining Clitheroe, also on a one-month loan, in October 2013. He re-joined Clitheroe on two-month loan deal in September 2014. He left Accrington Stanley by mutual consent in March 2015. Wigan
Wigan ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Douglas, Lancashire, River Douglas. The town is midway between the two cities of Manchester, to the south-east, and Liverpool, to the south-west. Bolton lies to the north-east and Warrington to the south. Northern Premier League
The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Geographically, the league covers all of Northern England and the northern/central areas of the Midlands, and western parts of East Anglia. Originally a single-division competition, a second division was added in 1987: Division One, and in 2007 a third was added when Division One split into two geographic sections - Division One North and Division One South. In 2018 Division One was re-aligned as East and West Divisions, then North West and South East in 2019. The 2011 Helmand Province killing was the manslaughter of a wounded Taliban insurgent by Alexander Blackman, which occurred on 15 September 2011. Three Royal Marines, known during their trial as Marines A, B, and C, were anonymously tried by court martial. On 8 November 2013, Marines B and C were acquitted, but Blackman (Marine A) was initially found guilty of murder of the Afghan insurgent, in contravention of section 42 of the Armed Forces Act 2006. This made him the first British soldier to be convicted of a battlefield murder whilst serving abroad since the Second World War. On 6 December 2013, Blackman was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of ten years, and dismissed with disgrace from the Royal Marines. On 22 May 2014, the Courts Martial Appeal Court reduced his minimum term to eight years.
