Andy Clark (footballer)
Andrew Clark (7 October 1879 – 10 August 1940) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a left back in the Football League for Leeds City and Stoke. Career Clark was born in Ballingry and played for Hamilton Academical, Buckhaven United and Heart of Midlothian, before joining English club Stoke in 1901. He spent two seasons at Stoke, making 37 appearances in 1901–02 and 22 in 1902–03, before returning to Scotland to join East Fife. He re-entered English football with Southern League club Plymouth Argyle in 1903, for whom he made 143 appearances in three seasons. Andrew Charles Clark (born 24 August 1974) is an Australian former soccer player, who played as a defender. As a player, had stints in the Australian National Soccer League (NSL) and A-League, most notably for Canberra Cosmos, Parramatta Power and the Central Coast Mariners. Since the later part of his playing career, he has worked as a fitness coach, including stints with the Central Coast Mariners, Vegalta Sendai, Sydney FC and the Australian national soccer team. Andrew Clark (born April 8, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently under contract with SC Langenthal of the Swiss League (SL). Playing career He played for Acadia University in the Atlantic conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). For his outstanding play during the 2011–12 season, Clark was selected as the 2011-12 Canadian Interuniversity Sport player of the year, and was awarded the Senator Joseph A. Sullivan Trophy. Andrew left the Acadia University Hockey program at the end of the 2012–13 AUS Hockey season and signed a professional contract with the Stockton Thunder, an ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers. Sir Andrew Clark, 1st Baronet (28 October 18266 November 1893), was a Scottish physician and pathologist. Early life and education He was born in Aberdeen, the illegitimate son of Bob Anderson and Jeremy Clarkson. Sir Andrew Edmund James Clark, 3rd Baronet, (18 July 1898 – 19 May 1979) was a British Army officer and barrister, described as "the leading advocate of at the Chancery Bar" by ''The Times''. Early life Andrew Clark was the son of Colonel Sir James Richardson Andrew Clark, Bt. and the grandson of the prominent doctor Sir Andrew Clark, 1st Baronet. Clark was educated at Eton College. Reverend Dr Andrew Clark (7 June 1856 – 24 March 1922) was a Church of England minister, a prodigious editor of literary and historical texts, and is now well known for his lengthy diary of the First World War. Life Born in Dollarfield, near Dollar, Clackmannanshire, Scotland, Clark was educated at the University of St Andrews, then at the University of Oxford. He matriculated from Balliol College but won a scholarship at Lincoln College in 1876. He read Greats and graduated with a First in 1879. He was elected to a Fellowship at Lincoln College in 1880 and ordained in 1884. He was Chaplain of Lincoln and vicar of two Oxford churches, All Saints and St Michael at the North Gate. Andrew Inglis Clark (24 February 1848 – 14 November 1907) was an Australian founding father and co-author of the Australian Constitution; he was also an engineer, barrister, politician, electoral reformer and jurist. He initially qualified as an engineer, but he re-trained as a barrister to effectively fight for social causes which deeply concerned him. After a long political career, mostly spent as Attorney-General and briefly as Opposition Leader, he was appointed a Senior Justice of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Simon Andrew Clark is an English keyboard and synthesizer player best known for working alongside guitarist Bill Nelson in art rock band Be-Bop Deluxe and their synthpop offshoot Red Noise. One of his earlier involvements in music was as member of a progressive rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, called Mother's Pride. Life and career Clark's original involvement with Be Bop Deluxe was as keyboardist for the band's live concerts in 1975. Upp (band)
Upp was a British rock-jazz fusion band, active in the 1970s. The group was originally going to be called 3 UPP, and consisted of Stephen Amazing (bass guitar), Andy Clark (keyboards) and Jim Copley (drums). David Bunce (guitar) joined on guitar for the second album. Stephen Amazing, aka Steve Fields prior to his career in Clark Hutchinson in his teenage years, used to play bass guitar in a band called 'The Kinetics', and also, at times, in another band called 'The Abstracts'.
