Andrew Percy Bennett (30 July 1866 – 3 November 1943) was a British diplomat. Early life Andrew Percy Bennett was born in Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire, where his father, the Reverend Augustus F. New Zealand and cricket career At the start of the 1886 New Zealand school year, at the age of 19, Bennett took up a position as Fourth Master at Nelson College, a boys' school in the city of Nelson, New Zealand. Andrew Francis Bennett (born 9 March 1939) is a retired British Labour Party politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) Stockport North 1974 from 1983, and then for Denton and Reddish from 1983 to 2005. Early life Bennett was born in Barton-upon-Irwell. He attended the William Hulme's Grammar School in Whalley Range. He studied at the University of Birmingham gaining a BSocSc (Bachelor of Social Science). A geography teacher from 1960 to 1974, Bennett was elected to Oldham Borough Council in 1964, and served on it until 1974. Parliamentary career He contested the Knutsford parliamentary seat in 1970 and was elected to Parliament in February 1974 for the marginal constituency of Stockport North, defeating the Conservative incumbent Idris Owen by just 203 votes. Andy Bennett
Andrew Bennett (born 30 March 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 110 games for South Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL from 1974 to 1979 and 35 games for Hawthorn and St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1980 to 1985. Bennett played six games for South Australia in 1979 and 1980 including two State-of-Origin carnivals in Adelaide in 1979 and Perth in 1980. Playing as a ruck-rover he was named South Australia's best player for his performance against Victoria at Football Park in mid 1979. He kicked 4 goals against Victoria in the State-of-Origin carnival played later that year in Perth. Bennett was a regular at Hawthorn in the 1980 VFL season, but had the rest of his time at the club ruined by injury. After crossing to St Kilda in 1985 he managed to add a further 14 games to his tally and the following season became captain-coach of Tasmanian Football League club Sandy Bay and won the 1986 William Leitch Medal. Andrew P. W. Bennett is a Canadian public intellectual. He was the first and only Canadian Ambassador for Religious Freedom, as the head of the Office of Religious Freedom, from the office's formation in 2013 to its closure in 2016. Andrew Russell Bennett (born August 26, 1978) is a former American football wide receiver of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football at UCLA. Bennett was also a member of the St. Louis Rams and Baltimore Ravens. He retired prior to the 2009 season due to a knee injury. Early years Bennett attended Miramonte High School in Orinda, California, and was a three-sport standout in football, baseball, and basketball. The Elements Bennett had his first break with his band The Elements (formerly known as Sargent) which included Tim Jacques, Lee Burn and Dave Casswell. The Elements regularly gigged throughout Birmingham and supported Ocean Colour Scene. The band released their first album, ''The Elements'', on Acid Jazz Records music label and the album charted at #7 in the indie music charts.
