Andrei Dukov
Andrei Dukov is a Romanian freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's freestyle 57 kg event at the 2016 European Wrestling Championships held in Riga, Latvia. A year later, he won the silver medal in this event at the 2017 European Wrestling Championships held in Novi Sad, Serbia. Freestyle wrestling is a style of wrestling originated from Great Britain and the United States. Along with Greco-Roman, it is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympic Games. American high school and men's college wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed scholastic and collegiate wrestling. American collegiate women's wrestling is conducted under freestyle rules. Freestyle wrestling, like collegiate wrestling, has its greatest origins in catch-as-catch-can wrestling. In both styles the ultimate goal is to throw and pin the opponent to the mat, which results in an immediate win.
