Andreas Schaerer
Andreas Schaerer (born 17 December 1976) is a Swiss jazz vocalist and composer, performing internationally, and an academic teacher. He founded the sextet 'Hildegard Lernt Fliegen' and collaborated with notable international musicians, including Bobby McFerrin for the improvised opera ''Bobble''. Life and work Born in Visp, Schaerer grew up in Emmental and Wallis. He studied at the ''Lehrerseminar'' (teachers' seminary) in Hofwil, and received the patent for primary school and ''Realschule'' in 1997. He became guitar player for the punk band ''Hektor lebt''. Schaerer travelled extensively in South America. From 2000 and 2006, he studied at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, voice with and Denise Bregnard, improvisation with Andy Scherrer, and composition with , Christian Henking and . Visp (french: Viège) is the capital of the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Geography Visp lies in the Rhône valley, at the confluence of the Vispa and the Rhône, west of Brig-Glis. Visp has an area, , of . Colin Vallon
Colin Vallon (17 November 1980 in Lausanne) is a Swiss jazz pianist. Biography Vallon studied classical music for two years before he started studies with jazz pianist Marc Ueter at fourteen years of age. In 1998 he attended the Swiss Jazz School and studied with Silvano Bazan, William Evans, Manuel Bärtsch, and Bert Joris. Colin Vallon Trio was founded in 1999, with bassist Lorenz Beyeler and drummer Raphaël Pedroli, releasing his debut album ''Les Ombres'' in 2004. He started to develop his own piano techniques at this time and the trio opens the Swiss Diagonales Festival with New-York guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. In 2005 he forms a new trio with bassist Patrice Moret and drummer Samuel Rohrer, releasing the album ''Ailleurs'' (2007) on the label HatHut Records. Mouth Trumpet
Mouth trumpet is a vocal technique that imitates the sound of the trumpet. The mouth trumpet sound is produced by using the vocal cords to produce the desired pitch and passing the sound through the lips that are held together with just enough tension so that they vibrate at the same frequency as the vocal cords, producing a trumpet-like sound. Lip trumpet is another trumpet imitation technique (also known as lip buzzing) in that air is blown through squeezed lips to make them squeak (like with the real trumpet) to produce a tone without vocal cords. The pitch is controlled by lip tension and position. The timbre can also be varied by tongue position. Particularly difficult is here to control the lip humidity which strongly changes the available pitch range. Both techniques can be combined to play 2 note polyphonic. The Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik ("German Record Critics' Award") was established in Germany in 1963 by publisher Richard Kaselowsky with the aim of setting the "most rigorous standards for supreme achievement and quality" in the field of music recording. Émile Parisien (born 12 October 1982) is a French soprano and alto saxophonist, jazz musician, and composer. Career Émile Parisien entered the fifth class at the age of 11 in the first class of Marciac's ''College de jazz'', where he studied music with established musicians such as Pierre Boussaguet, Guy Lafitte and Christian "Tonton" Salut. Rheingau Musik Festival
The (RMF) is an international summer music festival in Germany, founded in 1987. It is mostly for classical music, but includes other genres. Concerts take place at culturally important locations, such as Eberbach Abbey and Schloss Johannisberg, in the wine-growing Rheingau region between Wiesbaden and Lorch. Initiative and realisation The festival was the initiative of Michael Herrmann, who has served as its Artistic Director and chief executive officer.
