Andreas Nærstad (5 March 1920 – 25 September 1983) was a Norwegian sports administrator. Ski Jumping
Ski jumping is a winter sport in which competitors aim to achieve the farthest jump after sliding down on their skis from a specially designed curved ramp. Along with jump length, competitor's aerial style and other factors also affect the final score. Ski jumping was first contested in Norway in the late 19th century, and later spread through Europe and North America in the early 20th century. Along with cross-country skiing, it constitutes the traditional group of Nordic skiing disciplines. The ski jumping venue, commonly referred to as a ''hill'', consists of the jumping ramp (''in-run''), take-off table, and a landing hill. Each jump is evaluated according to the distance traveled and the style performed. The distance score is related to the construction point (also known as the ''K-point''), which is a line drawn in the landing area and serves as a "target" for the competitors to reach. The Norwegian Ski Federation ( no, Norges Skiforbund) is headquartered in Oslo, Norway and is the national representative of the International Ski Federation. Founded on 21 February 1908, it covers the skiing disciplines of alpine, cross-country, freestyle, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and snowboarding. Strømmen IF
Strømmen Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Strømmen. It has sections for football, athletics and gymnastics, and formerly had sections for bandy, orienteering, skiing, speed skating, swimming among other sports. History The club was founded on 25 September 1911 as ''Strømmen FK''. The name was changed to ''FK Norrøna'' in 1914. In 1923 the club merged with ''Strømmen IL'' and took the name ''IL Norrøna''. In 1935 it incorporated the club ''Strømmen BK'', founded in the 1920s, and reverted its name back to ''Strømmen FK''. On 27 June 1945, the club merged with AIF club ''Strømmen AIL'', founded 1928, and got its current name. Football The club reached the Norwegian Football Cup semi-final in 1957, and played in the Norwegian top flight from 1949 to 1955 and from 1956 to 1961, as well as in 1986 and 1988. Dag Berggrav
Dag Berggrav (17 May 1925 – 3 May 2003) was a Norwegian jurist, civil servant and sports administrator. Known mostly for his long tenure at the Norwegian Office of the Prime Minister, he also held important positions in sporting life, including the vice presidency of the International Ski Federation. Early and personal life He was born in Oslo as the son of bishop Eivind Berggrav and Kathrine Seip; and grandson of bishop Otto Jensen (bishop), Otto Jensen. He grew up in Tromsø and Oslo, where his father was bishop from 1928 to 1937 and 1937 to 1951 respectively. During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, he was held prisoner at Akershus Fortress from 20 December 1944 to the war's end in 1945. Arne Nyland (13 August 1924 – 12 April 2018) was a Norwegian sports administrator. He served Fossum IF as a skiing coach, training his own daughters. He became chairman of Fossum IF, then of Asker and Bærum District of Skiing.
