Andreas Mattheis (born May 24, 1954 in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian retired automobile racing driver. Personal life Mattheis is father of, racing driver Rodolpho Mattheis, TV presenter Fiorella Mattheis, Alexandre Mattheis, and, columnist Aline Mattheis. Racing career Driving career He won for four times in Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas e Pilotos and twice in the GT3 Brasil Championship. Petrópolis (; ), also known as The Imperial City, is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the Southeast Region, Brazil, Southeast Region of Brazil. The Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas e Pilotos (Brazilian Championship of Brand and Drivers) was a touring car racing based in Brazil. It had two incarnations, the first one between 1983 and 1994, and the second one between 2004 and 2009. Start in 1983 the Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas e Pilotos was a strong touring car racing championship, with direct involvement of the manufactures, had its last year of competition in 1994, the champions were Egon Herzfield and Vicente Daudt, who run with the Ford Escort. Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. In August 2010, Bueno ran a Chevrolet Vectra on the Bonneville Salt Flats at speeds over 340 km/h (~210 mph). WA Mattheis was a Brazilian auto racing team based in Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro.
