Andrea Reusing
Andrea Reusing is an American chef, best known for her restaurant Lantern in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In 2011, she won the Best Chef Southeast award from the James Beard Foundation Awards. Career Andrea Reusing opened a wine focused restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina, named Enoteca Vin. She opened her Asian cuisine based restaurant Lantern in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2002. At her restaurant, she seeks to source the majority of her ingredients locally. In 2011, she was awarded the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Southeast, the same year she had her first cookbook published entitled ''Cooking in the Moment: A Year of Seasonal Recipes''. The book featured a couple of dishes from her restaurant, but was mostly recollections of dishes from her childhood. Mac McCaughan
Ralph Lee "Mac" McCaughan (; born July 12, 1967) is an American musician and record label owner, based in North Carolina. His main musical projects have been Superchunk since 1989 and Portastatic since the early 1990s. In 1989 he founded the independent record label Merge Records with Superchunk bandmate Laura Ballance. Musical history McCaughan is a founding member of the rock band Superchunk. Formed in 1989, they are one of the bands that helped define the Chapel Hill music scene of the 1990s. Their energetic, high-velocity style and do-it-yourself ethics is influenced by punk rock. The band released a string of full-length albums and compilations throughout the ‘90s. James Beard Foundation Award
The James Beard Foundation Awards are annual awards presented by the James Beard Foundation to recognize chefs, restaurateurs, authors and journalists in the United States. They are scheduled around James Beard's May 5 birthday.
