Andrea Ferrigato
Andrea Ferrigato (born 1 September 1969 in Schio) is an Italian former road bicycle racer. Career In 1991 he turned professional with , which he rode for until 1993. In 1994 he won the 12th stage at the Giro d'Italia, while his best year was 1996, while riding for . That season he won the Leeds International Classic and the Grand Prix de Suisse and placed second to Johan Museeuw in the UCI Road World Cup. During some years he was in the Italian national team, and competed in two editions of the road world championship. He rode a season for the team , before leaving in March 2005, when he began to work for the company Selle Italia. Since 2011 he has been working for the tour operator Girolibero, specialized in cycling holidays, where he has been planning roadbike tours and creating the brochure Girolibero Roadbike. Schio
Schio is a town and comune in the province of Vicenza (region of Veneto, northern Italy) situated north of Vicenza and east of the Lake Garda. It is surrounded by the Little Dolomites (Italian Prealps) and Mount Pasubio. History Its name comes from Latin: ''escletum'' was a wood of oaks and it was first used in a document of some Benedictines from Vicenza. The first settlements were around two old hills, where now there are respectively the ruins of an old castle and a majestic neoclassical cathedral. By the 12th century Schio had become an important centre of prosperous wool manufacturing. The city was ruled by the Venetian Maltraversi family until 1311. Schio is now an industrial town thanks to Alessandro Rossi, who founded the biggest Italian wool firm (Lanerossi) in the 19th century. Giro Di Toscana
The Giro di Toscana is a road bicycle race held annually in Tuscany, Italy. From 2005 to 2014, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was not held in 2015. On 4 April 2016 it was announced that the race will return in September 2016 as a three-race challenge (similar to the Trittico Lombardo or Vuelta a Mallorca), consisting in three one-day races held consecutively in Tuscany.
