Andra Stevanović
Andra Stevanović ( Belgrade, 12 November 1859 - Belgrade, 15 November 1929) was a Serbian architect and professor at the University of Belgrade. Andra Stevanović and architect Nikola Nestorović collaborated on several major projects in Belgrade that are now considered cultural monuments. Biography His father was Joca Stevanović, a civil servant. He finished elementary school and high school in Belgrade in 1877. In 1881, he graduated from the Technical Faculty of the Grande école (the future university) in Belgrade and immediately got a job in the civil service, where he spent two years working as a sub-engineer in the Belgrade district. Like most Serbian engineers of the time, he had to do his post-graduate studies abroad. In 1883, he began studying at the Berlin's Königlich Technische Hochschule Charlottenburg, where he remained for several years and acquired solid practical knowledge. Oplenac
The St. George's Church in Oplenac ( sr-cyrl, Црква Светог Ђорђа на Опленцу, Crkva Svetog Đorđa na Oplencu), also known as Oplenac (Опленац), is the mausoleum of the Serbian and Yugoslav royal house of Karađorđević located on top of the Oplenac Hill in the town of Topola, Serbia. The church of Oplenac was founded by King Peter I of Yugoslavia. Many members of the royal house are buried in the church, in the crypt beneath the church, or in the church yard. Mitrovica ( sq-definite, Mitrovicë; sr-cyrl, Митровица) or Kosovska Mitrovica ( sr-cyrl, Косовска Митровица) is a city and municipality located in Kosovo. Belgrade Cooperative ( sr, Београдска задруга) was a cooperative bank founded in 1882 to promote savings and support small enterprises, craftspeople and the poor of Belgrade.
