Anders Bjørnstad
Anders Bjørnstad is a Norwegian jazz trumpeter. Career Bjørnstad played at jam sessions in Drammen when he was 11 years of age, and between 1960-65 was a member of Papa Dennis Jazzband, first prize winner in the tradband class at amateur Norwegian Championship of Jazz in 1963 and there after he played at the 1964 Kongsberg Jazzfestival. In the mid-1970s he was incorporated into the tradjazz community in Oslo and became a member of the Magnolia Jazz Band in 1974 and Christiania Jazz Band in 1976. In these two popular traditions, he has always been a leading musician and has gained attention with a game characterized by empathy and warmth. With each of the bands he has recorded several albums: 13 with Magnolia Jazz Band (1976 to 2011), 5 with Christiania Jazzband (1978 to 1990). Since the engagement at the 1978 Moldejazz he has played at a number of festivals both in Norway and abroad (also the United States). The trumpet is a brass instrument commonly used in classical and jazz ensembles. Kongsberg Jazzfestival
Kongsberg Jazz Festival or Kongsberg Jazzfestival is an international jazz festival that has been held annually in Kongsberg, Norway, since 1964. Artists Several worldwide great artists have visited Kongsberg during this festival; international stars including Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Nigel Kennedy, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter, Dianne Reeves, McCoy Tyner, Radka Toneff, Bobby McFerrin, John Butcher, Anthony Braxton, Diana Krall and Pat Metheny have played in Kongsberg several times. Moldejazz
Molde International Jazz Festival (MIJF) or Moldejazz (established 1961 in Molde) takes place annually in July, and is known as one of the oldest jazz festivals in Europe. It was initiated by the local Storyville Jazz Club. Since 1964 it has received government support, and the government Buddy Award was for several years awarded at this festival. To the extent Molde festival operates with records, is probably the bassist Bjørn Kjellemyr holder of "Most festivals in a row" musicians record. In 2015 he visits Moldejazz for the 17th time in row as performer. Two club gigs with Dag Arnesen's band is on the program for the versatile bassist.
