Anbu Khaireni Rural Municipality
Anbu Khaireni (also Aanbu Khaireni, Aanboo Khaireni or Anbukhaireni) ( ne, आँबुखैरेनि गाउँपालिका) is a Municipality in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal which was established in 2015. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 11,450 people living in 2234 individual households. In the census of 2011 the municipality has 16,382 inhabitants. In 2017, the Government of Nepal restructured the local level bodies into 753 new local level units, at that time the former Anbu Khaireni Municipality restableshed as a rural municipality with same name. The former Chhimkeshwari and Deurali VDCs also were incorporated with this new rural municipality. The rural municipality rearranged into 6 wards. The Andhi Khola River flows nearby. Gaunpalika
A gaunpalika ( ne, गाउँपालिका, lit=rural municipality, translit=Gāum̐pālikā ) is an administrative division in Nepal. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development dissolved the existing village development committees and announced the establishment of this new local body. It is a sub-unit of a district. There are currently 460 rural municipalities. History The village development committee was the previous governing body of villages in Nepal. They were replaced on 10 May 2017 by the rural municipalities which were formed by combining different VDCs. The decision was taken by the cabinet of Nepal after modifications in the report proposed by the Local Level Restructuring Commission. Digital Himalaya
The Digital Himalaya project was established in December 2000 by Mark Turin, Alan Macfarlane, Sara Shneiderman, and Sarah Harrison. The project's principal goal is to collect and preserve historical multimedia materials relating to the Himalaya, such as photographs, recordings, and journals, and make those resources available over the internet and offline, on external storage media. A village development committee ( ne, गाउँ विकास समिति; ''gāum̐ vikās samiti'') in Nepal was the lower administrative part of its Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development. 1991 Nepal Census
The 1991 Nepal census was a widespread national census conducted by the Nepal Central Bureau of Statistics. Working with Nepal's Village Development Committees at a district level, they recorded data from all the main towns and villages of each district of the country. The data included statistics on population size, households, sex and age distribution, place of birth, residence characteristics, literacy, marital status, religion, language spoken, caste/ethnic group, economically active population, education, number of children, employment status, and occupation.
