Anat Saragusti (Hebrew: ענת סרגוסטי), born in Jerusalem, Israel on 1953 is an Israeli journalist, a publicist and a jurist. Saragusti is in charge of the freedom of the press at the Union of Journalists in Israel. Anat's professional career includes Former CEO of Israeli Center for Strategic Communications, Agenda (Israeli Center for Strategic Communications), former news editor, reporter and photographer. Anat is known as a peace activist and a Human rights advocate. She is among the founders of Ta Ha'Itonaiyot (a group of leading Israeli women with media orientation) and Merkaz Media Nashim (Gender Media Center). Biography Anat is a descendant of the Saragusti family, a surname popular among Jewish surname, Jewish families originating from the city of Zaragoza (a.k.a. Saragossa) in northeastern Spain. Anat (, ), Anatu, classically Anath (; uga, 𐎓𐎐𐎚 ''ʿnt''; he, עֲנָת ''ʿĂnāṯ''; ; el, Αναθ, translit=Anath; Egyptian language, Egyptian: ''wikt:ꜥntjt, ꜥntjt'') was a goddess associated with warfare and hunting, best known from the Ugaritic texts. Most researchers assume that she originated in the Amorites, Amorite culture of Bronze Age upper Mesopotamia, and that the goddess Ḫanat, attested in the texts from Mari, Syria, Mari and worshiped in Anah, a city sharing her name located in Suhum, should be considered her forerunner. In Ugarit, Anat was one of the main goddesses, and regularly received offerings, as attested in texts written both in the local Ugaritic language and in Hurrian language, Hurrian.
