Victor Motschulsky
Victor Ivanovich Motschulsky (sometimes Victor von Motschulsky, russian: link=no, Виктор Иванович Мочульский, 11 April 1810, in St. Petersburg – 5 June 1871, in Simferopol) was a Russian entomologist mainly interested in beetles. Motschulsky was an Imperial Army colonel who undertook extended trips abroad. He studied and described many new beetles from Siberia, Alaska, the United States, Europe, and Asia. While he tended to ignore previous work and his own work on classification was of poor quality, Motschulsky made a massive contribution to entomology, exploring hitherto unworked regions, often in very difficult terrain. He described many new genera and species, a high proportion of which remain valid. Travels Motschulsky's travels included: *1836 - France, Switzerland and the Alps, northern Italy and Austria *1839–1840 - Russian Caucasus, Astrakhan, Kazan and Siberia *1847 - Khirgizia *1850–1851 - Germany, Austria, Egypt, India, France, England, ...

Anastatus Disparis
''Anastatus disparis'' is a species of egg parasitoid. Hosts include ''Lymantria dispar'' and ''Antheraea pernyi''. The species is sexually dimorphic, with 630 sex specific genes. Females have 11 antennal subsegments, whereas males have 8. Females only mate once, and males are significantly shorter lived than females, engaging in agonistic behavior Agonistic behaviour is any social behaviour related to fighting. The term has broader meaning than aggressive behaviour because it includes threats, displays, retreats, placation, and conciliation. The term "agonistic behaviour" was first implemen .... Anastatus Bifasciatus
''Anastatus bifasciatus'' is a species of parasitoid wasp in the family Eupelmidae. It is native to Europe, and has been harnessed for augmentative biological control against the brown marmorated stink bug, ''Halyomorpha halys''. The study by Haye ''et al.'', 2015 especially demonstrates its effectiveness against the European BMSB invasion. It has also been considered as a biological control agent against spongy moth (''Lymantria dispar'') eggs in North America. ''A. bifasciatus'' is a widespread generalist egg parasitoid of various arthropods, especially lepidoptera and hemiptera Hemiptera (; ) is an order (biology), order of insects, commonly called true bugs, comprising over 80,000 species within groups such as the cicadas, aphids, planthoppers, leafhoppers, Reduviidae, assassin bugs, Cimex, bed bugs, and shield bugs. .... Females live for up to two months, while the males, which are smaller, only have adult lives of a few days. Females feed on nectar and honeydew. Re ...
