Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
Anastasia Sergeyevna "Nastia" Pavlyuchenkova (; born 3 July 1991) is a Russian professional tennis player. A junior prodigy, Pavlyuchenkova won three Grand Slam titles and became the junior world No. 1, in January 2006, at the age of 14. She continued her success after turning professional, reaching a career-high singles WTA rankings, ranking of world No. 11 on 8 November 2021. For more than a decade, Pavlyuchenkova was continuously ranked inside the top 50 beginning 3 November 2008, when she entered the top-50 rankings for the first time in her career, until 5 June 2022. 2023 US Open – Women's Singles
Coco Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final, 2–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. It was her first major singles title. Gauff became the first American teenager to win the title since Serena Williams in 1999, and one of three teenagers to win the title within five years, following Bianca Andreescu in 2019 and Emma Raducanu in 2021. Sabalenka became the first woman since Williams in 2016 to reach at least the semifinals of all four majors in a season. Iga Świątek was the defending champion, but lost to Jeļena Ostapenko in the fourth round on her fourth straight loss to the Latvian. Her defeat guaranteed a first-time US Open champion. Świątek and Sabalenka were in contention for the WTA No. 1 singles ranking. Vesnina played alongside Eugenie Bouchard, but they withdrew from their second round match because of a concussion sustained by Bouchard.
