Anastasia Guerra (born ) is an Italian volleyball player, playing as an opposite. She is part of the Italy women's national volleyball team. She competed at the 2015 European Games in Baku. At club level she played for Club Italia in 2015. Volleyball Casalmaggiore is an Italian women's volleyball club based in Casalmaggiore and currently playing in the Serie A1. Previous names Due to sponsorship, the club have competed under the following names: * VBC Pallavolo Rosa (2008–2009) * VBC Pomì (2009–2010) * Pomì Casalmaggiore (2010–2019) * VBC Èpiù Casalmaggiore (2020–present) History The club was founded in 2008 by the acquisition of a Serie B2 licence from Pallavolo Zevio. The club was named , VBC is the acronym for Volley Ball Casalmaggiore. As the club progressed through the national leagues, the home venue was changed to comply with league regulations and accommodate a larger number of supporters. From the Palazzetto dello Sport Baslenga in Casalmaggiore, the club first moved to PalaFarina in Viadana and then to PalaRadi in Cremona. FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship is an international women's club volleyball competition organised by the '' Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1991 in Brazil. It was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar, Switzerland, the Philippines, Japan, China and Turkey. The competition was held in Zhejiang Province of China in 2018 and 2019. After the 2020 championship was cancelled due to corona virus pandemic, the competition was held in Turkey in 2021. The tournament involved six to eight teams over the years competing for the title at venues within the host nation over a period of about one week. 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
The 2016 FIVB Women's Club World Championship was the 10th edition of the event. It was held for the first time in the Philippines, on 18–23 October 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. For the first time, eight teams competed, including four wild cards. The Philippine Super Liga and Eventcourt was in charge of organizing the tournament, together with the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI), the national federation for volleyball. Turkey's Eczacıbaşı VitrA defeated Italy's Pomì Casalmaggiore in the final to become the first team in history to claim the title a second time after their 2015 success. The Women's tournament in volleyball at the 2015 European Games in Baku was the 1st edition of the event in a European Games. It was held at Baku Crystal Hall from 13 June to 27 June 2015. Club Italia is an Italian women's volleyball club based in Rome, it is currently playing in the Serie A1; but it has played in the Serie A2 during season 2017/18. Previous names Due to sponsorship, the club have competed under the following names: * Club Italia (1998–2016) * Club Italia Crai (2016–present) History The team was founded in 1998 by then Italian federation sports director Julio Velasco, in order to develop the skills of younger players in a competitive league rather than in youth leagues. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
