Anamur Museum
Anamur Museum is a museum of archaeology and ethnography in Anamur ilçe (district) of Mersin Province, southern Turkey. Location The museum is the Yalıevleri (coastal) neighborhood of Anamur at . Mouth of Dragon Creek is to the to the east of the museum. Its distance to Anamur centrum is about and to Mersin is . History In 1976, the building area of was allocated for the planned museum. But construction was delayed and the museum building was opened in 1992. Anamur area is rich in archaeological remains. Up to the establishment of the museum the finds were displayed in other museums, notably in Silifke and Alanya Museums. After 1992 Anamur based articles were returned to Anamur. Mersin Province
Mersin Province ( tr, ), formerly İçel Province ( tr, ), is a province in southern Turkey, on the Mediterranean coast between Antalya and Adana. Aydıncık, Mersin
Aydıncık is a town and district of Mersin Province on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, from Mersin and from Antalya. Aydıncık has also been called in Armenian Կելենդերիդա, and ''Gilindire'', from Kelenderis ( gr, Κελένδερις). Bozyazı is a town and district of Mersin Province on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, west of the city of Mersin. Alanya Archaeological Museum is an archaeological museum in Alanya, Turkey. The museum is divided into two sections, with displays of archaeological and ethnographic artifacts. It contains numerous ceramic, marble, bronze and glass pieces and mosaics from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods.
